Meanwhile, 10400 metres above India...
Well, as you can see I didn't manage a single update to my blog while I was in the Philippines. Ah well, what were you expecting? But, I find it quite fitting that my last update was done from a free internet-access PC in Singapore airport, whilst this is coming from a laptop using a free 30 minute trial of Connexion, an in-flight wireless internet access service. Gotta love technology.
So, what did I get up to? I stayed at the Oakwood in Makati which was very comfortable and more than just a hotel room, but still no match for my flat! A trip to the gorgeous Boracay was planned for the first weekend, including the see-it-to-believe-it Hobbit House, and great live music at Bom Boms. After that it was a case of exploring Makati's various shops and malls on the weekends, and experiencing the nightlife that usually goes on long into the morning most nights of the week.
Lots of things are much cheaper in the Philippines, and I treated myself to an electro-acoustic guitar with a built in iTrip-stylee FM transmitter! Not sure if I'll ever use it but heh, how cool is that? I also had my first ever Swedish Massage. Well, my first two. The 2-hour one had to be tried to see if it was twice as good as the 1-hour.
I also managed to get some training in for this Sunday's Nike Run London which I have every intention of completing in a decent time if the jet-lag doesn't kill me first.
Ah well, that's about as much as I can manage to type before I'm going to have to start paying through the nose for this internet connection. Seeya!
