Wish you were here

Cool idea, that
I would send my own haiku
if I could be arsed

Get-a-head

I should have got an early night. Unfortunately I received an e-mail from IEE Circuit advertising a new Metal Guru game that is infuriatingly addictive. It's very similar to the penguin hitting game that did the rounds recently (one click to release the projectile, a second to smack it as far as possible) except this incarnation has a scoreboard.

I managed 1436.20 which got me into #18 of the top 100 at the time, although it looks like someone managed to cheat the system somehow so I'm not sure how long my score will stay there...

Dawn or Shaun?

Which of these two films takes your fancy the most?

Dawn of the Dead
"When there's no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the earth."
(out this Friday, 26th March 2004)

-or-

Shaun of the Dead
"A romantic comedy. With zombies."
(out 9th April 2004)

I'm going to see them both. Shaun will be the best.

The Lord of the Rings: The Led Zeppelin Lyrics

I ain't tellin' no lie.
Mine's a tale that can't be told,
My freedom I hold dear;
How years ago in days of old
When magic filled the air,
T'was in the darkest depths of Mordor
I met a girl so fair,
But Gollum, and the evil one crept up
And slipped away with her.
Her, her....yea.
Ain't nothing I can do, no.

(Led Zeppelin - Ramble On)

Hmm, I seemed to have missed that bit in the films. Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing a single electric guitar.

A use for Spam?

Spam Poetry. It does exactly what it says on the tin.

Men don't love the fat gals
My husband gave me a pill
This pill fixed everything
I lost 40 lbs in 6 weeks and you can too.

Many Have Come, But I Like You The Best!

I've just found ze's page. It has a cool design, some funny videos (like this one), flash toys (like this), and a bird that insults his cat.

Tequila

A rabbit, a gorilla, a lion and a dancing frog star in this flash anim set to the music named after the (in)famous Mexican spirit.

"I love swearing"

Have you seen the promotional trails being run on Channel4 during ad breaks?

Here's one I thought I'd never see.

"I can wait", he says. "I'm very good at waiting."

And he certainly is.

I'm a massive fan of the Tango adverts, so you can imagine my joy when I found that the latest "postman" installment can now be downloaded from their website.

Well here we are:

Is it just me, or are things getting a little bit tense...

Is "is" a verb?

Why not have an alcohol-fuelled discussion argument on this? We all did.

(answer)

Bonus question 1: Is "is 'is' a verb" a sentence?

Bonus question 2: Is "is 'is "is" a verb' a sentence" a sentence?

etc.
