Goodbye Singapore, for now

I'm stood in the departure area of Singapore Changi airport where there's free internet access and Xbox live here for any passenger who wishes to make use of it. How cool is that? Sadly I had to pay for my donuts, but at $1 each that's next to nothing anyway.

The last 24 hours have been great fun: I landed at 14:15 yesterday and since then have had enough of a glimpse of Singapore to make me want to come back again for a few days at least. Balaclava, Clarke Quay, Zouk, Chinatown and Scott Street have given me a taste of what this place really has to offer. The MRT underground system is ace and makes it so easy to get around, without a paper ticket in sight. I even managed to meet up with Alex briefly after lunch today as it's always nice to see a friendly face from back home when you're abroad.

Next stop, Manila...
