A Month at a Glance

Isn't it ironic? Well, I think so. There were two reasons I started writing this weblog, (besides the whole ego thing, but that's taken as given):

[1] To keep my own record of stuff that I got up to and enjoyed because I always forget things.

[2] So that friends of mine could see what I'd been up to if we hadn't spoken for a while.

However, at the time when I posted on a semi-regular basis, I saw my friends quite a lot and so [2] above was kind of superfluous, although [1] still applied.

Recently, when I have seen friends less and less due to being particularly busy, I've also not had time up write regular updates (the last being from the end of August), so at the very time when my blog is supposed to act as me-by-proxy, it isn't.

So today I'm going to just try to play catch up so that in the future I'll make more of an effort to post whenever I can...

Kulu Kulu Sushi - novelty conveyor belt action! Followed by a few cocktails at The Langley. All within walking distance of Covent Garden tube.

Glasgow Long Weekend 9th - 13th September
Watched from behind the scenes as the news was broadcast live on Scottish TV. Sarah Heaney is ace.
Dinner at the our-cutlery-doesn't-match-but-our-food-is-great Roastit Bubbly Jocks.
Learning the joy of recipies from the You Are What You Eat Book.
Meal at the exquisite Roman Camp Hotel for my Gran's 80th birthday.
Enjoyed a quick lunch with Colin at iso-bar in Leith, at the risk of missing my flight back home.

Flat-warming at Sil's, with couch-diving action.

Discovering that the Yellow River Cafe lunchtime buffet is marginally more expensive, yet much tastier than the legendary Pizza Hut Buffet Lunch, whilst trying to fathom the concept of Team Steve.

First night out in Clapham High Street (i.e. the real Clapham, not near Clapham Junction which is in fact Battersea): Bierodrome, Rinky Dink, The Clapham North.

New favourite pub: The Black Boy, Winchester.

A night starting in the Eagle Diner, but where we headed to via pedicab after that is a secret.

Appreciating a foot-long BLT from Subway for breakfast.

"Carry a book and women will shag you", paraphrases the Microwave Man Jonathan Gornall, writing in the Times T2 on 1 October 2004, taking a cynical view on publishers trying to encourage young men to read in the most tactile of ways. My Quantum Theory for Beginners hasn't worked for me just yet.

Turning up at the Tup for the first time, only to look out of place to be one of the few people NOT dressed like a pornstar. Nor wearing a Tamed Mens Pouch. Nor dancing on the bar.

I hope I remembered all the highlights. So there you have it. That's what I've been up to. Now I promise to try and keep this updated more often, as well as read up on all your escapades.
